Delivering Leaflets to the Homes of Interesting People.
One of the best parts of our job, when we're out and about, is delivering leaflets to the homes of interesting people. Here are a few:
Even if you've never heard of Dudley Watkins, you'll most likely be familiar with 'Oor Wullie' and 'The Broons'. This sign is on the outside of the boundary wall of his former home in Broughty Ferry.
JM Barrie, best remembered as the creator of Peter Pan. His birthplace at 4 Brechin Road, Kirriemuir is maintained as a museum by the National Trust for Scotland.
This statue of Robinson Crusoe can be found at 99 Main Street, Lower Largo, Fife. It is dedicated to Alexander Selkirk who was born in Lower Largo and became a likely source of inspiration for Daniel Defoe's fictional character.
Definitely a fictional character! The Scottish comedy series 'Bob Servant', played by Dundee actor Brian Cox, was mostly filmed in Broughty Ferry, Dundee and this sign was spotted on the wall of the house he 'lived in'.
